Experimental study of correlations in terms of moments: comparison with QCD-calculations and with hadronization models
- 1. Oesterreichische Akademie der Wissenschaften, Vienna (Austria). Inst. fuer Hochenergiephysik
Description
Data from e+e- annihilation into hadrons at the LEP collider (DELPHI-Experiment) are used both to test QCD predictions for multiparticle multiplicity moments in rings and to study correlations in small rapidity bins for 2-jet events. The role of the cut-off parameter Q0 is studied in JETSET, and its influence on the validity of LPHD is demonstrated. Some difficulties arise in the comparisons with the string model in the 2-jet event study. (orig.)
