Description
Due to the international consequences of the reactor accident in Chernobyl nuclear safety and radiation protection should have priority in a worldwide cooperation. In the area of the European Communities the present knowledge should be used to improve the protection of the population and the environment against ionizing radiation. (WG)

Aufgrund der internationalen Folgen des Reaktorunfalls in Tschernobyl sollten die nukleare Sicherheit und der Strahlenschutz vorrangige Themen einer weltweiten Zusammenarbeit sein. Im Bereich der Europaeischen Gemeinschaft sollten die vorhandenen Kenntnisse genutzt werden, um den Schutz der Bevoelkerung und der Umwelt gegen ionisierende Strahlung zu verbessern.
