Description
A computer program is presented that is able to connect (to 'splice') two EXAFS spectra of the same sample if they have an overlapping energy region. This tool will be useful in many situations when it is impossible to measure a spectrum over the desired energy range in a single scan. Technical details of the SPLICE program are described to overcome the difficulties concerning the adjustment of different EXAFS spectra containing information about the same sample at different energies. The SPLICE program was tested at the U LIII edge using EXAFS spectra of a uranyl arsenate sample measured up to k of 22 angstrom-1 at a temperature of 15 K. (authors)
