Dissipative effects in heavy ion collisions studied in a model of two coupled oscillators interacting with an environment

  • 1. Institut fur Theoretische Physik der Justus-Liebig-Universitat Giessen

Description

Dissipative effects are analyzed in a model of two coupled oscillators interacting with an environment. The environment is treated in a pure quantum state as well as a thermal bath. Time evolution of the mean-values and variances are calculated in the method of perturbation series expansion. Under special conditions it is shown that this series can be summed up to all orders. Application of the model is made to a special environment
