Fast reactor core monitoring using out-of-pile self-powered detectors

Description

Possibility to use out-of-pile self-powered detectors (SPD) with emitters of rhodium for energy release monitoring in a fast reactor core in ivestigated experimentally. Experiments were carried out at the BOR-60 reactor with SPD installation both in the core and above it. Data on SPD efficiency, their real characteristics under certain conditions of operation and on laws of change in neutron field characteristics in locations of SPD installation. The conclusion is made that SPD with emitters of rhodium can serve as a reliable means for neutron flux density monitoring in a fast reactor. 4 refs.; 5 figs.; 4 tabs
