Results of determination of tin concentration in tin-ore field in Tsentralnoyansk region

Description

X-ray diffraction logging in terrestrial boreholes has been carried out with the RRKA-1 apparatus, and that of subsurface ones with the RRShA-1 apparatus. All tin ore subsections revealed by coring are distinguished by anomalies on X-ray diffraction logging data diagrams. No effect of caverns and microcaverns has been established. With 70 per cent or more of core yield the X-ray diffraction logging data on the tin content are in good agreement with the core-sample analysis data. The sampling of the walls of the mines has been carried out with the RRShA-1 apparatus having a special gauge. Readings of intensity ratios in the 25 to 27 keV and 34 to 36 keV ranges have been taken every 10 cm. The lower sensitivity threshold for complex ores has been found to be 0.05 to 0.1 per cent of Sn
