Phase space approach in the radial distribution function

Description
The Wigner Distribution Function (WDF) is demonstrated to be the autocorrelation of the radial distribution function. By using an inversion theorem, a general relation to find the radial distribution function, as a projection of the WDF, is obtained. We apply this result to write the equation of state and the structure factor of a liquid in terms of the WDF.
