Chemical separation combined with an ISOL-system

Description

A chemical separation apparatus based on thermochromatography is described. It is attached to the collector end of the OSIRIS isotope-separator-on-line facility. Its performance has been tested with isotopes of cadmium and iodine, and it has been used in spectroscopic investigations of neutron-rich isotopes of zinc and cadmium. (orig.)
