Reflection of waves in a rotating semiconductor nanostructure medium through torsion-free boundary condition

Description

The current research paper is concerned with the analysis on reflection of waves through a semiconductor nanostructure medium. The medium is rotating with some fixed angular frequency Ω. Initially, the governing equations are formulated with the help of non-local thermo-elastic theory. Thermal signal conducting through the medium is analysed by three-phase-lag model with fractional-order time derivative. Governing equations are decomposed into longitudinal and transverse components with the help of Helmholtz decomposition principle. Harmonic representation of wave is used to find the solution of the problem. On the basis of solution, it is concluded that after reflection four quasi-waves propagate through the medium. The quasi-term basically represents that the polarization vector of particles is not purely perpendicular or parallel to the propagation vector. The amplitude ratios of reflected waves against the incident wave are obtained analytically for general medium and represented graphically for a particular medium with the help of computational software.
