Autoignition of kerosene in fluidized-bed pilot-plant calciners
Description
Studies were conducted at the Idaho Chemical Processing Plant (ICPP) to determine minimum autoignition temperatures of kerosene in 15-cm and 30-cm diameter in-bed combustion pilot-plant fluidized-bed calciners. Limits of flammability were calculated to ensure safe operating conditions while testing various bed materials. Recommendations for pilot-plant and New Waste Calcining Facility (NWCF) operation are made based on the pilot-plant studies
