Measurements in the photon-energy range 0.25--1 GeV of the π0-meson photoproduction total cross sections on Be, C, and O nuclei with no charged particles in the final state
Description
The π0-meson photoproduction total cross sections on 9Be, 12C, and 16O nuclei have been measured at photon energies in the range 0.25--1 GeV using a system for tagging γ rays and π0-meson detectors covering a approx.4π solid angle. For comparison with theoretical predictions we derived the π0-meson coherent photoproduction cross sections on carbon and oxygen from the measured π0-meson photoproduction total cross sections, and the nuclear photodisintegration cross section for carbon
