Mechanism of operation of Josephson junctions made from HTc materials by ion modification

  • 1. Institute of Electronics, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Sofia 1784 (Bulgaria)

Description

In this paper, existing attempts to fabricate Josephson junctions from HTc materials by ion modification published in the literature are summarized. A computer simulation with these experimental data for every case was made calculating the critical temperature depth profiles of the modified material. It is shown that the experimental results are consistent with our calculation and the Josephson behavior is observed in the expected temperature range
