Moessbauer investigation of iron doped YBa2Cu3O7-δ

Description
We have recorded 57Fe Moessbauer spectra of YBa2(Cu94Fe06)3O7-δ uniaxially oriented powder. Additional measurements have been made on YBa2(Cu99Fe01)3O7-δ and YBa2(Cu99Fe01)3O6 powder. The analysis shows that the iron atoms substitute Cu1 (in the oxygen chain) and that the main axis of the electric field gradient (EFG) is in the c-plane
