Description

Using as an example europium extraction in the presence of water soluble photometric reagents (sulfalizarin, alizarin, methylthymol blue), metal extraction in two-phase systems polyethyleneglycol (PEG)-salt-water in the presence of polymers (dextran, Na-sulfate of dextran, phycol, polyvinylpyrrolidon), forming two non-mixing phases, hase been considered. It is shown that the values of distribution coefficients in such systems are 1-2 order lower, but the extraction can be performed from chloride and nitrate solutions. In the two-phase systems viscosity of the extracts produced decreases at the expense of lower concentration of PEG, which expands the possibilities of selection of methods for element determination in the extract
