The significance of X-ray diagnostics for the research on road accidents
Description
Within the group of injuries occuring to pedestrians in road accidents, the fracture of the lower extremities presents an essential criterion for determining collisionary constellations, which are interesting within the scope of research on road accidents. In order to render possible an efficient interdisciplinary cooperation, the X-ray images have to permit precise orientation about the course of the fractional suture. (orig.)

Unter den Verletzungen des im Strassenverkehr verunglueckten Fussgaengers bietet sich die Fraktur der unteren Extremitaet als ein wesentliches Kriterium zur Bestimmung der im Rahmen der Verkehrsunfallforschung interessierenden Kollisionskonstellation an. Um eine effiziente interdisziplinaere Zusammenarbeit zu ermoeglichen, ist es erforderlich, dass Roentgenaufnahmen eine praezise Orientierung ueber den Bruchfugenverlauf zulassen.
