Polarized neutron grazing angle diffraction

Description
The principles underlying grazing angle X-ray diffraction can be applied to neutrons. We derive a formalism for the treatment of grazing angle diffraction using polarized neutrons and present measurements employing this geometry to observe the magnetization of an Y/Gd film. (orig.)
