On resonances in heavy-ion reactions as orbiting-cluster phenomena

  • 1. Institut Rudjer Boskovic, Zagreb (Yugoslavia)

Description

A model is proposed to interpret the existing evidence on resonances in heavy ion reactions in a unified way, assuming that the phenomenon is related to orbiting cluster molecular type configurations. Based on this interpretation predictions are given of nuclear systems most likely to exhibit resonances and of the energy vs. spin relation of these relation. (P.L.)
