The design and synthesis of organic superconductors
- 1. Argonne National Lab., IL (USA)
- 2. North Carolina State Univ., Raleigh (USA)
Description
In this presentation the authors describe (I) the use of chemical additives and new electrode systems (other than Pt), for the electrocrystallization of select organic conductors and superconductors based on the organic electron-donor molecules BEDT-TTF [BEDT-TTF is bis-(ethylenedithia)tetrathiafulvalene] and, (II) the concept of lattice softness, as determined by C-H hor-ellipsis anion contacts in organic superconductors, and its effect on superconducting transition temperatures (Tc)
