Ultrasonic method for the measurement of oxygen in sodium

Description

A technique is described which uses an ultrasonic method to follow the reaction of oxygen with vanadium metal, while the latter remains immersed in sodium at elevated temperature. It is shown that, under suitable conditions, this technique can provide an ''in situ'' measurement of the oxygen content of the sodium
