Multilayer exfoliation by blistering and spalling in He ion bombarded Mo single crystals

Description

A recent study on exfoliation of Mo single crystals at room temperature has shown that the major exfoliation occurs by spalling of the entire crystal surface prior to blistering on the spalled surface. However, minor or secondary exfoliation occurs by both the spalling and the blistering phenomena on planes not associated with the major exfoliation events. This secondary exfoliation is reported and discussed. (author)
