Spectral-luminescent properties of lanthanum-gallium-oxysulfide glasses activated with neodymium

Description
Lanthanum-gallium-oxysulfide glasses activated with neodymium of 0.69Ga2S3x0.31La2O2S composition are synthesized. Absorption and luminescence spectra are taken using the obtained samples, life time of sup(4)Fsub(3/2)Ndsup(3+) excited state is measured. Intensity of Nd3+ absorption bands in them is higher than in the known laser glasses. By their spectral-luminescent properties the investigated glasses are close to La2O2S-Nd3+ crystals
