Coloured quark and gluon constituents in the MIT bag model: a model of mesons
Description
The authors generalize the bag model by treating transverse coloured vector gluons as constituents. The physical S-wave mesons are mixed states of pure quark and quark-plus-gluon type, and their masses are accounted for by the colour SU(3) quark-gluon Hamiltonian. Finally, the masses and some electromagnetic properties of the S-wave mesons are obtained in this model for states constructed from u, d, s, c and b quarks. (Auth.)
