'With this new undergraduate program, UFRJ is making an important contribution to the preparation of new human resources in the nuclear field. Most of the qualified personnel in the area were formed during the 1960s and 1970s by the Brazilian Nuclear Program and these technicians are now retiring without the opportunity to transfer their knowledge to the new generation.
