Device for determining the gross weight, dose rate, surface contamination and/or nuclide inventory

Description

Barrels with low nuclide inventories (about 1E6 Bq) and with high inventories (1E13 Bq) are inspected with the barrel inspection system. The system provides a rotating plate, which is part of some scales and a measuring sensor arrangement for this purpose. The surface contamination and nuclide inventories of the 200 litre barrels can be calculated from the weight and radiation detector values. (DG)

Abstract (German)

Mit dem Fassausmasssystem werden sowohl Faesser mit geringen Nuklidinventaren (ca. 1E6 Bq) als auch mit hohen Inventaren (1E13 Bq) kontrolliert. Das System sieht hierzu einen Drehteller, der Bestandteil einer Waage ist, und eine Messsondenanwendung vor. Aus Gewichts- und Strahlendetektorwerten sind die Oberflaechenkontaminationen und Nuklidinventare der 200 l-Faesser berechenbar. (DG)
