Self-consistent electronic structure of Zn(0001), Cd(0001) abd In(001)
Creators
Description
Self-consistant pseudopotential method has been used to study the electronic structure of Zn(0001), Cd(0001) and In(001) surfaces. The electronic structure of the surface of cadmium is similar to that for zinc with two exclusions: the gap edges at the point Γ have a different symmetry; the surface state at the point Γ is absent. The band spectrum of the surface of indium is analogous to the surface spectrum of Al(001) with one difference: the vacant surface state at the point M is absent, however below the Fermi level at M there appeares a surface state preferentially of s-symmetry
