Instability of relativistic electron layer rotating in a radial electrostatic field due to excitation by high frequency radiation
Description
Mechanisms of electromagnetic wave generation by relativistic electrons which are rotating in radial electromagnetic field are studied theoretically. Dispersion equations which describe electron-wave energy exchange are obtained. It was shown that electromagnetic oscillations is possible due to Cherenkov or plasma resonance. Frequencies and increments of waves are found. The dependence of the results on relativistic factor is studied. 5 refs
