Description
Automatic translation: Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is one of the most common pathologies occurring to varying degrees in 30-50% of the population and in 43% of liquidators of the consequences of the Chernobyl accident. The importance of diagnosis. treatment and prevention of this disease in the latter is due to such complications of GERD. like Barrett's esophagus and esophageal adenocarcinoma. Barrett's esophagus. found in 1-6% of the population and in 13% of patients with reflux esophagitis. is one of the complications of this disease with the highest carcinogenic potential. since this significantly increases the risk of developing adenocarcinoma of the esophagus (Londe R.G. NyShepvep G. 2016). in recent years, Barrett's esophagus is determined by the presence of a columnar epithelium in the esophagus and is diagnosed by determining intestinal metaplasia above the gastroesophageal junction.
Abstract (Russian)
Additional details
