Forefront of the high energy atomic collisions explored at HIMAC

  • 1. RIKEN, Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics Laboratory, Wako, Saitama (Japan)

Description

HIMAC has stably provided high energy beams of heavy ions in the highly charged states i.e., associated with a small number of bound electrons or naked. Taking full advantages of its characteristics, different atomic collision experiments have been conducted so far. In this chapter, we overlook obtained results with historical background and comparison with other facilities. (author)
