Ultrasonic unit for line-by-line ultrasonic scanning of bodies
Description
The ultrasonic unit for medical diagnostics operates by the sectorial scanning principle, which avoids direct coupling of the transducer head to the surface of the body. For this purpose, several transmitter/receiver units (approx. 100) are arranged on a partial ring of a circular arc and the ultrasonic beams, which can be triggered sequentially in time, are directed at a common intersection behind the ultrasonic window of the unit, i.e., outside the unit. A mechanical system is employed to set and adjust the partial ring carrying the transmitter/receiver units. (DG)

Der Ultraschall-Applikator fuer die medizinische Diagnostik arbeitet nach dem Prinzip der Sektorabtastung, wodurch eine Direktankopplung des Schallkopfes an der Koerperflaeche vermieden wird. Hierzu sind mehrere Sender/Empfaenger (ca. 100 Stueck) auf einem Kreisbogen-Teilring angeordnet und die zeitlich aufeinanerfolgend erregbaren Ultraschallstrahlen auf einen gemeinsamen Schnittpunkt hinter dem Ultraschallfenster des Applikators, also ausserhalb des Applikators, ausgerichtet. Mittels einer Mechanik ist der Teilring mit dem Sender/Empfaenger justier-bzw. verstellbar. (DG)Files
