District heating and the combined, biomass-based production of heat and power
Description
One of the main directions of the Long-Term Development Plan for the Estonian Fuel and Energy Sector is increasing the use of renewable energy sources and peat to an economically reasonable level. These plans are based on the inconsiderable environmental impact, as well as on the favourable effect of the use of these fuels on the regional development, employment included. The combined production of heat and power must be based on the more rational use of local resources
