Neutrino magnetic moment

  • 1. Moskovskij Inst. for Theoretical and Experimental Physics (USSR)

Description

The problem of the neutrino magnetic moment is discussed which is of interest since it deals with the probable time anticorrelation of the solar neutrino flux with the Sun magnetic activity. The Cl-Ar, the Kamiokande and the Ga-Ge experiments show that there is anticorrelation between the solar neutron flux and the Sun magnetic activity. A nonzero neutrino magnetic moment can naturally explain such anticorrelation. The possible models are surveyed: the Fukugita-Yanagida model, the Zee model for neutrino mass and the light ZKM neutrinos with large magnetic moments. (K.A.) 19 refs.; 2 figs.; 1 tab
