A Study on the Nuclear Information Analyses and Legal Affairs

Description

Researches regarding global nuclear trend and nuclear R and D institution in the major nuclear energy countries and present condition of thorium nuclear reactor that is proficient in safety and sustainable fuel supply are performed. General election of the Germany and the Japan in 2009 and their new government's nuclear policy are reviewed. Nuclear law section of this study reviewed reformed executive branch of nuclear safety. Moreover, the Korea's response to the Fukusiam nuclear accident and considerations for joining nuclear liability convention are treated in this study. Legal consultation and advice are provided to KAERI's domestic and international study and business project such as the Korea-U. S. Pyro nuclear fuel R and D, the Jordan nuclear research reactor project and the Algeria RI project. Emergent legal guidance to the Korea-U. S. FTA and nuclear liability convention are delivered. Model development applying for inter-relational research branches, case study for technology forecast regarding energy and nuclear sector, and analysis in reinforcing a role of base-load power in the emerging new technology and role and expectation of nuclear energy in the national energy policy are proceeded as a basic study of nuclear policy analysis
