Synthesis of NCL-6-Et82Br and its distribution in mouse's organs

Description
Bromine-82 labelled 6β-(2'-bormo) ethyl-19-norcholest-5 (10)-en-3β-ol (i.e. NCL-6-Et82Br) has been prepared both by the crown ether method and by the hydrothermal melting method. A study on its distribution in mouse's organs showed a rather selectiver localization of radioactivity in adrenal gland, in which the absorption of NCL-6-Et82Br was found to be higher than that of CL-6-82Br or NCL-6-82Br. The adrenal/liver and adrenal/kidney ratios of the titled compound were shown to be higher than those of CL-6-82Br, and near those of NCL-6-82Br
