On the interaction of nitric acid with disolvate UO2(NO3)2·(TBP)2
Description
Electron absorption spectra and IR spectra of UO2(NO3)2·(TBP)2 + HNO3 mixtures and their solutions in CCl4 were measured. It is ascertained that addition of HNO3 does not vary the composition of the uranyl complex. Only in great excess of nitric acid in the mixture a small amount of trinitrate complex appears (15-20 % at HNO3:UO2(NO3)2·(TBP)2 mole ratio equal to 8:1)
