Primary water chemistry experience in Czechoslovak VVER reactors
Description
Water chemistry experience in primary system VVER reactors is described. So far no problems with corrosion and fuel integrity have been observed. Investigation of water chemistry is focused on radiation field control and personnel doses, decontamination and optimal regime control from the point of view of auxiliary systems and Rad waste production. Radiation control philosophy of these reactors is based on low content of cobalt in stainless steel materials, no presence of cobalt alloys, boron/potassium coordinated water chemistry. (author)
