Description
A new apparatus suitable to the advanced tritium ion beam labelling technique is presented. It consists of a vacuum chamber, an ion source, a sample target seat, a pumping system and a gas supply unit. A movable cooling sample plate which is meticulously designed is an original part of this apparatus. The new labelling technique has advantages of reserving fully biological activity and requiring relatively short reaction time. It has been used to tritiate enkephalin, pachyman and other nonvolatile organic compounds with good results
