Electromagnetic transition rates in 28Al
Creators
Description
Lifetimes for the 2nd through 12th excited states in ²⁸Al have been obtained by use of the attenuated-Doppler-shift technique. Combining these results with previous information on this nucleus makes it possible to assign spins to all of the states that have been studied. All of the information is then compared with a shell-model calculation and with other theoretical descriptions that have been advanced.
