Linac upgrade plan for the KEK B-factory

Description

The upgrade plan for the KEK 2.5-GeV linac is discussed. In order to increase the linac energy from 2.5 GeV to 8 GeV, accelerator structures using a traveling-wave resonant ring and the SLED system are both being studied. The activities regarding the injector linac division and future plans are described. (author)
