Description

In this paper the effect of the charm quark mass in the process J/psi(psi') -> γ + glueball is discussed. We use this effect to explain the suppressed radiative decay mode of psi(3684), i.e., [GAMMA(psi' -> γiota)/GAMMA(psi' -> lanti l)][GAMMA(J/psi -> lanti l)/GAMMA(J/psi -> γiota)] < 0.24. It is found that there are the same phenomena in the production of 0++ and 2++ glueballs in J/psi and psi'(3684) radiative decays. However, the production of the exotic glueball states, such as 1-+ and 3-+ in psi'(3684) radiative decays is more copiously than the production of these exotic states in J/psi radiative decays. Therefore, psi'(3684) radiative decays are in good processes to search for exotic glueballs. (orig.)
