An experimental study of gaseous flames issuing from an air-staged burner
Description
this thesis describes the study carried out to investigate the problem of NOx formation during turbulent diffusion combustion , using a new combustor design. this combustor is claimed to be capable of reducing the noxious emissions such as fuel bound and thermal nitrogen oxide products [1]. it may be employed in different ranges of equivalence ratio, fuel flow rate and combustor applications including , heating of large water boiler products , burning of paper and developing of high pressure gases used in the generation of turbine power. the present work is devoted to extensive study on this combustor. based on the basic features of the combustor described in the original patent [1]. a combustor is designed, manufactured and assembled with the necessary auxiliaries in the mechanical power labs
