Autoionizing states in the alkalis
Description
Autoionization measurements are presented for collisionally excited states of lithium, sodium, magnesium, and potassium. Excitation was accomplished by passing a 70 keV beam of the alkali ions through a gas cell containing helium. Details of the experimental apparatus are given and electron spectra of the excited atoms are shown. 6 figs, 4 tables, 26 refs
