Application of earthworms in the remediation of radioactive soil

Description

Radioactive contamination of soil, caused by the nuclear industry and nuclear accidents, is currently one of the hot topics in the world. This paper reviewed the application of hyperaccumulators in the remediation of radioactive soil. The joint action of hyperaccumulators and earthworms was expounded. The application feasibility of earthworm in radioactive soil remediation was analyzed. The difficulties and research emphases of earthworms application in radioactive-soil remediation. The application prospect of earthworms in the remediation of radioactive soil was examined, providing reference for the establishment of nuclear pollution control technology in China. (authors)
