Crystal-field effects in the compound of formula: Eu (ClO4)3.5.5 TMAO (TMAO=trimethylamine-oxide)

Description

The emission spectrum of the europium complex was interpreted in terms of a cubic symmetry with europium (III) ion location in a octahedral site. Crystal-field parameters Bkq, strenght parameters NV and S were obtained from the analysis of fluorescence spectrum. Our best evaluation of parameters (cm-1) yield: B4O = 1178; B44 = 705; Nv = 1623 and S = 297. (author)
