Solitons and the phase structure of lattice gauge theories
Description
The phase structure of compact U(1) as well as SU(N)/Z(N) lattice gauge theories is discussed. The presence of topologically stable Z(N) monopoles is shown, and discussed in connection with possible phase transitions
