Will multiplicity distributions go on broadening for ever

Description
Quantum optical considerations and the energy dependence of the inelasticity distribution predict that the relative broadening of the multiplicity distribution with energy in hadron-hadron reactions must stop and then reverse its trend. This may be already reflected in the 900 GeV data presented by the UA-5 collaboration. Upper and lower bounds for the width of the multiplicity distribution are given. Other experimental consequences testable at presently available energies are also predicted
