Description
Thermal, photo- and radiation stability of hydroxotetranitronitrosoruthenates M[Ru(NO)(NO2)4OH]xnH2O, where M-Sr, Ba, Zn, Pb, Na, Ag are studied. The decomposition of the compounds in vacuum, as well as their thermal decomposition in the air, depends on the second sphere cation, with the water and NO molecules, being the main gaseous products. Two temperature maxima for the NO-group removal are measured. In the process of gamma - irradiation with a dose of 5-6 M rad (77 K) of the compound polycrystal samples the tabilization of NO2 and NO22- radicals was observed. It is shown, that during photolysis either the formation of trivalent ruthenium complexes very likely at the expense of solvent molecule substitution for nitrosogroup, or of paramagnetic compound, in which uncoupled electron is localized mainly on a nitrosogroup (g sub(tr) approximately equal to 2, g sub(long)=1.916, Asub(tr)sup(N) approximately equal to 30 Oe), take place depending on photolysis conditions
