Description
The paper is concerned with a comprehensive program of radionuclide studies of patients with suspected hyperparathyreosis. It comprises a radioimmunoassay of the parathormone in the blood, the visualization of the osseous system with the gamma-chamber using sup(99m)Tc-pyrophosphate and of the parathyroid glands with the scanner using 75Se-methionine according to the POTCHEN modified technique. There has been worked out radionuclide appearance of the imaging of the osseous system and parathyroid glands. Statistically significant differences have been found in the level of the parathyroid hormone and of calcitonin in patients with primary and secondary hyperparathyreosis. The program proposed by the authors has been tested in 90 patients
