Detailed measurementsof photofission cross section for 237Np near threshold

Description
A detailed measurement of the energy dependence of the photofission yield and cross section for 237Np has been done atthe bremsstrahlung beams of microtrons in Obninsk and Uzhgorod in the energy region of 4.8-9.4 MeV in steps of 0.025,0.05,0.1 MeV. The maximum with width 0.4 MeV was observed at energy 5.8 MeV, which,probably, has a fine structure. The nature of this effect is discussed
