Study of the intrinsic radio-sensitivity of cancer stem cells isolated from glioblastomas: presentation of the current study at the Poitiers University Hospital

  • 1. CHU, 86 - Poitiers (France)

Description

The authors aim at demonstrating the governing role, in experimental conditions, of a population of tumour-initiating stem cells in the radioresistance of glioblastomas. Fifteen lines of tumour-initiating stem cell coming from diagnosed glioblastomas have been irradiated. According to the specific cell survival curves, and in correlation with patient specific survival, these cells seem indeed to present a peculiar intrinsic radio-resistance. Short communication
