A centauro event with a surviving nucleon Brazil-Japan collaboration on emulsion chamber experiments at Mt. Chacaltaya

Description
Since 1962, in a series of experiments of Cosmic Rays, Brazil-Japan Collaboration (B-J Collaboration) obtained interesting results on Multiple Meson Production phenomena. In this paper these results shows a correlation between mean transverse momenta and multiplicity of secondary mesons produced at the hadronic interaction. This correlation was obtained through a fireball analyses for interactions of energy greater than 3 TeV. One consequence of fireball analysis is a indication of formation of descrite Intermediate States, called Mirim, Acu and Guacu. Some of observed events seems to be out of this classification. They may indicate not a multiple meson production by a multiple hadron production without yield. Moreover, due to high value of mean transverse momenta, in the order of 1.5 GeV/c, B-J Collaboration interpreted these events as indication of multiple baryon and anti-baryon production. First event of this phenomena is called Centauro I, due to their unusual aspect
